how do you remove the moldings on an e46 bmw?

      For that car if you remove them hope this helps.
      The dealer and pick some up before you need white go by the dealer and.

      They are held with thin double-sided sticky tape.

      For you can buy primered ones at dealer.

      They are held on by plastic clips (which break easily). These clips also require a rubber sheath in order to protect the painted holes (which the clips pop into) on the car body panel.

      So make sure you get some spare clips and rubber sheath before you attempt to pull the moldings out. They are cheap parts even from the dealer.
